With over twenty years of experience teaching in primary schools across the UK, and international schools in the beautiful cities of Prague and Bratislava, I am truly passionate about education! I love working one-on-one with children, helping them unlock their full potential. I teach from my home in St Judes, Plymouth, where I live with my husband Tim and our adorable cat, Ariel!

After-School & Day Time Tuition
I offer high-quality, structured support in Maths and English for children in the primary school years. Whether your child needs help with reading comprehension, spelling, grammar, arithmetic, or problem-solving, I tailor each session to meet their individual learning style and pace. Lessons are engaging, interactive, and designed to boost your child’s confidence while reinforcing classroom learning. Ideal for families who want consistent academic support throughout the school year. Lessons can be arranged for after school, or during the day for home schooled children, and in the holidays.
Catch-Up Lessons
Falling behind can happen for many reasons — illness, changes in routine, or even gaps in understanding. The catch-up lessons are specially designed to close those learning gaps quickly and effectively. I assess your child’s current level, identify missing foundational skills, and create a focused plan to bring them up to speed. These sessions restore confidence and set children back on track for academic success.
SATs Preparation
Preparing for SATs can be a stressful time for both students and parents. My SATs preparation is designed to reduce that anxiety by equipping your child with the tools, techniques, and practice they need to feel confident and perform at their best. I cover all key areas tested in the Year 6 SATs, offer regular progress reviews, and teach test-taking strategies that make a real difference.
Support for Children with Different Learning Needs (SEND)
With extensive experience working with neurodiverse learners and children with additional needs, I offer a patient, compassionate, and flexible approach to tutoring. I understand that each child faces unique challenges and requires a tailored strategy. Whether it’s building a child’s confidence in reading with dyslexia-friendly techniques or using visual and practical tools to support learners with dyscalculia, my goal is to create a safe and supportive space where your child can thrive.
English as an Additional Language (EAL)
I’m also able to help children who are learning English as an additional language to develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in a nurturing and encouraging environment. Whether your child is new to English or simply needs help mastering academic language, I offer focused support that builds vocabulary, improves fluency, and helps them participate more confidently in the classroom.
Prices & Lesson Lengths
I offer 60 or 45 minute one-to-one, in person lessons:
1 hour: £30 per lesson
45 minute: £22.50 per lesson
I also offer online lessons:
1 hour: £24 per lesson
45 minutes: £18 per lesson
